Job summary

Qualifications

• HS or GED required.
• 6 months’ experience; ED or hospital experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Proficient computer skills and data entry.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform admitting functions (RTM, Meditech, Bedtracking) and communicate with RN/Unit Coordinator.
• Answer calls promptly and manage incoming/outgoing communications.
• Ensure patients are scheduled for testing on time and paperwork is stocked.
• Maintain accurate admission logs and update physician lists.
• Coordinate transfers and prepare paperwork for transfers to other facilities.
• Order dietary trays and assist with bed/linen changes as needed.
