Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant to grow admissions by developing strong relationships with healthcare providers and navigating sensitive patient conversations. You will own a defined book of business, secure referrals, and work to exceed weekly growth goals while upholding Compassus values.

The role requires compassion, resilience, and the ability to manage complex, emotional conversations with patients, families, and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of successful sales experience.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills that drive growth in long-standing accounts.
• Experience in Hospice, Home Health, or Healthcare industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open new accounts and expand existing ones to grow the book of business.
• Secure referrals from physicians, staff, and admins and ensure rapid admission.
• Meet or exceed weekly performance goals and maintain productivity.
• Build trust-based relationships with referral sources using a consultative sales approach.
• Show compassion and empathy to patients and families.
• Be available outside standard business hours to support patients.
• Gather feedback from referral sources and relay insights to operations.
• Adapt to changing priorities and team structures.
• Provide clinical training and education to referral partners.
