Job summary

Serenity Hospice is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth through physician, discharge planner, and referral-source relationships. You will educate hospital staff and families about hospice services and collaborate on strategic sales plans to achieve agency growth goals.

The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, 3+ years in healthcare sales, and willingness to travel locally, with some evening/weekend obligations.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Three or more years of professional sales experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience in hospice business development preferred.
• Self-directed with ability to work with little supervision.
• Willingness to travel and attend events, including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities in new and existing markets.
• Manage census development strategies for the assigned area.
• Establish relationships with referral sources including physicians and discharge planners.
• Educate staff and referrals about Hospice services and programs.
• Collaborate on quarterly sales plans and regular marketing/sales meetings.
• Provide support to other agency liaisons.
