Job summary

Compassus in Petaluma, CA is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant who will grow admissions by building trusted relationships with physicians, staff and referral sources, opening new accounts and expanding existing ones.

Required: a Bachelor's degree in Business and 5+ years of successful sales experience, with proven CRM skills and a passion for providing compassionate, high‑quality hospice care to patients and families, including outside standard hours when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business strongly preferred.
• Five (5) plus years of successful sales experience in relevant roles.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals with new and existing accounts.
• Experience in Hospice, Home Health, or Healthcare industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth by opening new accounts and expanding existing ones.
• Secure referrals from physicians, staff and administrators and partner with operations to admit patients.
• Meet or exceed weekly performance goals and grow productivity with tenure-based expectations.
• Cultivate trust-based relationships with referral sources using a consultative sales approach.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families during emotional times.
• Be flexible to work outside standard hours to ensure timely patient care.
• Gather feedback from referral sources and relay insights to operations to drive improvements.
• Adapt to changes in business priorities and market dynamics as needed.
• Provide clinical training and education to referral partners about hospice care.
