Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant (HCC) to grow hospice admissions by building strong relationships with healthcare providers and identifying eligible patients. You will promote Compassus values—Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation—and advance the company’s 6 Pillars of Success.

You will own a defined book of business, open new accounts, and expand existing ones while navigating emotionally charged conversations with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business preferred.
• 5+ years sales experience in relevant healthcare-related roles.
• Experience in Hospice, Home Health, or Healthcare industry preferred; top performers encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Drive significant growth within the assigned book of business by opening new accounts and expanding existing accounts.
• Secure referrals from physicians, staff, and administrators and partner with the operations team to ensure all clinically-eligible patients are rapidly admitted.
• Meet or exceed weekly performance goals and maintain productive pace with tenure-based expectations.
• Cultivate and manage strong, trust-based relationships with referral sources using a consultative sales approach.
• Demonstrate compassion and empathy to patients and families in emotionally sensitive situations.
• Be available to work outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends, to ensure timely support for patients.
• Solicit feedback from referral sources and relay insights to operations for service improvements.
• Adapt to changes in business priorities and team structure to support the organization.
• Provide clinical training and education to referral partners about hospice care.
