Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant (HCC) in Massachusetts to grow market share by building strong relationships with healthcare providers and identifying eligible patients for admission. This role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care alongside strategic sales growth.

The successful candidate will manage a defined book of business, open new accounts, secure referrals, and exceed admissions targets while navigating sensitive conversations with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business strongly preferred and foundational sales experience.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals in healthcare or related fields.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills that drive growth in long-standing accounts.
• Experience in Hospice, Home Health, or Healthcare industry preferred, but top-performing sales professionals encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Open new accounts and grow existing ones to expand market share.
• Secure referrals from physicians and administrative staff to rapidly admit eligible patients.
• Meet or exceed weekly performance goals and drive productivity with tenure-based expectations.
• Build trusted relationships with referral sources using a consultative sales approach.
• Demonstrate compassion and resilience when engaging patients and families in sensitive conversations.
• Be available outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends, to support patients in need.
• Gather feedback from referral sources and relay insights to operations for process improvement.
• Adapt to changing priorities and team structures to support business needs.
• Provide clinical training and education to referral partners to improve understanding of hospice care.
