Job summary
Optimal Care is seeking a Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, skilled care during overnight hours, with a predictable 7-on/7-off schedule (5pm-8am) and no on-call requirements. You will travel within the Toledo/Lucas/Wood/Ottawa/Sandusky service area, tending to patients in homes, facilities, or nursing homes.
Requirements include an RN license, 1+ year of clinical nursing experience, and ability to work evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Diploma/ADN/BSN).
- Current State RN license.
- Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage urgent night-time symptoms.
- Provide skilled nursing interventions and emotional support.
- Support families through crisis with clinical compassion.
- Coordinate with physicians and hospice team to ensure overnight continuity of care.
- Serve as a reassuring presence during vulnerable hours.
