Job summary
Optimal Care is seeking a Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse to deliver skilled nursing and emotional support to patients and families during the overnight hours. You will work from home with a 7-on / 7-off night rotation (5pm–8am), no on-call requirements, and shifts beginning and ending from home.
You will travel within service areas for in-home care, coordinating with physicians and the hospice team to ensure continuity of care while maintaining a structured schedule that supports your life
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
- Current State License as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance coverage.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage urgent symptoms during night shifts.
- Provide skilled nursing interventions and emotional support to patients and families.
- Coordinate with physicians and hospice team to ensure continuity of care throughout the night.
