Job summary

Optimal Care is seeking a Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse to deliver skilled nursing and compassionate support during the overnight shift, 5pm–8am, on a 7-on/7-off rotation. All shifts begin and end from home, with no on-call requirements, while traveling to patient homes within the service area.

You will assess urgent symptoms, administer care, coordinate with physicians, and provide families with guidance through difficult times, maintaining a structured schedule that supports your life

Qualifications

• Current State License as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience
• Ability to travel within service area as needed
• Willingness to work evenings/nights/weekends/holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight skilled nursing and emotional support to patients and families
• Assess and manage urgent symptoms during night shifts
• Work independently while coordinating with physicians and hospice team
• Ensure continuity of care and documentation throughout the night
