Job summary
Optimal Care in Indiana is seeking an experienced Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, skilled nursing at night. You will work a 7-on / 7-off rotation from 5pm to 8am, travel daily within the service area, and coordinate with physicians to ensure comfort and dignity for patients at end of life.
The role requires current RN licensure, 1 year clinical experience, and the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
- Current State License as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care and emotional support to patients and families.
- Respond to urgent needs during overnight hours.
- Work independently while coordinating with physicians and hospice team.
- Ensure continuity of care throughout the night.
- Travel within service area to patients' homes.
