Job summary

Optimal Care is seeking an experienced Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse (RN) to provide overnight skilled nursing and compassionate care in patients’ homes across the Central Indiana area. The role supports 7-on/7-off night rotations (5pm–8am) with no on-call burden and home-based shifts from Carmel, IN, ensuring continuity of care with physicians and the hospice team.

You will travel daily within the service area, assess urgent symptoms, and deliver clinical interventions while helping

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
• Current State License as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 1 year experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance coverage
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage urgent symptoms during night shifts.
• Provide skilled nursing interventions and support families during crisis moments.
• Coordinate with physicians and hospice team to ensure continuity of care overnight.
