Optimal Care – Evergreen seeks a Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Southeast Michigan talent pool. You will deliver compassionate end-of-life care during the overnight hours, supporting patients and families, with a structured 7-on/7-off night rotation and shifts starting and ending from home.

The role involves independent practice, high travel within Jackson and surrounding counties, and collaboration with our hospice team to ensure comfort and dignity at end of life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
• Current State License as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance coverage.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage urgent symptoms during night shifts.
• Provide skilled nursing interventions and support families through crises.
• Coordinate with physicians and hospice team to ensure continuity of care at night.
• Travel daily within the service area to provide in-home or facility care.
