Job summary

Optimal Care - Evergreen is seeking a Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver skilled nursing care and emotional support during the nocturnal hours. The role operates a 7-on/7-off night rotation from 5pm to 8am, with all shifts starting and ending from home and no on-call requirements.

You will travel within Allegan/Van Buren/Berrien/Cass and Kalamazoo metro areas to patient homes and facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
• Current State RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage urgent symptoms during night shifts.
• Provide skilled nursing interventions with clinical expertise and compassion.
• Support families through crisis moments and coordinate with physicians.
• Ensure continuity of care throughout the night and document care appropriately.
