Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant to grow the hospice admissions by developing relationships with healthcare providers and expanding the book of business. You will identify eligible patients, ensure rapid and appropriate admissions, and meet growth targets through new and existing accounts.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business and 5+ years of sales experience in healthcare, with a strong emphasis on relationship management and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Five (5) plus years of successful sales experience in relevant roles.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills that drive growth.
• Experience in Hospice, Home Health, or Healthcare industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive significant growth within the assigned book of business by opening new accounts and expanding existing accounts.
• Secure referrals from physicians, staff, and administrators and partner with operations to admit patients quickly.
• Meet or exceed weekly performance goals and grow productivity with tenure-based expectations.
• Cultivate trust-based relationships with referral sources using a consultative sales approach.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families during emotional times.
• Be willing to work outside standard hours to ensure timely support for patients.
• Seek feedback from referral sources and relay insights to the operations team.
• Demonstrate adaptability to changing business priorities and market dynamics.
• Provide clinical training and education to referral partners about hospice care.
