Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant to drive growth by expanding the book of business, securing physician referrals, and ensuring rapid, appropriate hospice admissions. The role requires compassionate engagement with patients, families, and healthcare partners, and readiness to work beyond standard hours in a high‑emotional environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business and 5+ years of successful sales experience, with a proven track record of meeting goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business strongly preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of successful sales experience in relevant roles.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
• Experience in Hospice, Home Health, or Healthcare industry preferred, but top-performing sales professionals who understand hospice care are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Drive significant growth within the assigned book of business by opening new accounts and expanding existing accounts.
• Secure referrals from physicians, staff, and administrators and partner with operations to ensure rapid patient admissions.
• Meet or exceed weekly performance goals and grow productivity with tenure-based expectations.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with referral sources using a consultative sales approach.
• Demonstrate compassion and empathy to patients and families in sensitive hospice settings.
• Be flexible to work outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends, for timely patient support.
• Seek feedback from referral sources and relay insights to improve service and protect relationships.
