Job summary

Compassus in Texas seeks a Hospice Care Consultant to grow admissions by building strong relationships with physicians, staff, and administrators. You will identify eligible patients, open new accounts, and expand existing ones to increase market share while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

You will manage referrals, work with operations to ensure rapid admissions, and maintain a consultative approach that emphasizes empathy, integrity, and results in a high-performing sales

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business strongly preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of successful sales experience in relevant roles.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals and growing accounts.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills for long-term growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth by opening new accounts and expanding existing ones.
• Secure referrals from physicians and staff, ensuring rapid admission.
• Meet or exceed weekly performance goals and manage timelines.
• Build trust-based relationships with referral sources using a consultative sales approach.
• Demonstrate compassion and empathy for patients and families, even in emotional situations.
• Be available outside standard hours to support patients in need.
• Gather feedback from referral sources and relay insights to operations.
• Adapt to changing priorities and assist team as needed.
• Provide training and education to referral partners on hospice care.
