Job summary

The SouthState Bank, N.A. is seeking a Consumer Real Estate Underwriter in Winter Haven, FL to assess loan applications and ensure policy adherence, collateral security, and profitability of the consumer loan portfolio.

Responsibilities include underwriting within defined time frames, pre-qualification discussions with lenders, loan approval within authority, and tax return/cash flow analysis, all while maintaining professional presentation and portfolio quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years in Banking
• Good interpersonal skills, good computer skills, ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Responsibilities

• Underwrite consumer real estate loans within prescribed time frames.
• Available for pre-qualification discussion with lender, prior to loan submission.
• Responsible for reviewing and making approval decisions with respect to loans within his/her authority
• Analyze tax returns and prepare cash flow analysis
• Responsible for performing review of valuation methods to include tax assessments, appraisals and Automated Valuation Models.
• Presents a neat and professional personal appearance, in accordance with bank policy.
