Job summary

Lowe's in West Virginia is hiring a Sales Specialist to greet customers, understand project needs, and guide them to the right products while closing sales. You’ll become a product expert, explaining features, promotions, and financing options to meet customer goals.

You'll work across departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, and more, handling inquiries, assisting with orders, and supporting store goals with strong communication and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external experience in customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with/without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe's will support and fund this).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as point of contact for customers and vendors within department, handling estimates, installations, orders, and follow-ups.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock replacement.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing/docs.
• Support checkout, pages, and requests for assistance.
• Coach and train associates on the Sales floor.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
