Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a Sales Specialist to be among the first associates customers meet. You will help shoppers find products, explain features, and close sales in a fast-paced store environment.

You’ll work across departments such as Appliances, Flooring, and Live Nursery, providing excellent customer service, product knowledge, and collaboration with vendors to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external experience in customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• Able to Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe's will support and fund this requirement)

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers to understand their needs and communicate product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department; provide estimates, schedule installer visits, process orders, and follow up for completion.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales; work with vendors/stores to find merchandise and reorder stock.
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and maintain pricing and documentation.
• Support all checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, or requests for assistance.
• Train associates in the department by on-the-job coaching on the sales floor and development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
