Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, understand project needs, and guide them to the right products. You’ll become a product expert, explain features, and help close sales across various departments.

The role emphasizes customer service, inventory support, and collaboration with vendors. You will work in departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, and more, with opportunities to grow through training and perks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales experience or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (17 months if education not met).
• 1 year sales or customer service experience with sales goals/metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods; lift at least 25 lbs.
• Sales-related licensure/registration may be required by state (Lowe's supports this).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as department contact for customers and vendors, handling estimates, installer visits, orders, and follow-up.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory with vendors and stores to ensure stock availability.
• Perform price reviews per pricing policies and maintain pricing docs.
• Support checkout, pages, and requests for assistance.
• Train department associates through on-the-job coaching.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
