Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to assist customers with project needs, explain product specifications, and promote Lowe's services in our store or garden center. You will become a product expert, helping customers select and finance solutions to complete their home improvement goals.

You’ll work in a department such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls, with opportunities for growth and customer-impactful

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe's retail if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience in a sales environment with sales goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic; stand/sit for prolonged periods; lift 25 lbs unassisted (or with accommodation).
• Lowe's will support and fund required sales-related licensure/registration as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Be point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, handling estimates, scheduling installs, processing/ tracking orders, and following up for completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts/outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with vendors/stores to find merchandise and replacements.
• Perform price reviews per pricing policies and maintain pricing/docs.
• Support checkout functions and department requests for assistance.
• Train associates in the department through on-the-job training and coaching.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
