Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to help customers find products, discuss project needs, and guide them from idea to completion. You will become the product expert, explaining specs, promotions, and financing options to close sales, in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will work in one of several departments and collaborate withvendors and teams to ensure a positive customer experience and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe's retail; or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe's if education not met.
• 1 year sales or customer service experience with sales goals/metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for extended periods.
• Lifts up to 25 lbs unassisted or more with assistance.
• Ability to obtain required sales licensure/registration if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by identifying customer needs, answering questions, and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, provide estimates, schedule visits, and track orders.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/other stores to locate merchandise and reorder stock.
• Perform price reviews according to policies and maintain pricing docs.
• Support checkout functions and department requests.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
