Job summary

Lowe's Home Centers, LLC is seeking a Sales Specialist who will be among the first customers meet and will apply sales expertise to help customers find products and turn project ideas into reality. You will become a product expert, explaining specifications, features, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

You will work in departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in customer-facing sales or six months Lowe’s retail experience (or three years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• One year of sales or customer service experience in a sales environment with sales goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or with assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/stores for merchandise.
• Perform price reviews according to policies and maintain pricing docs.
• Support checkout functions and respond to requests for assistance.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach around development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
