Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a Sales Specialist to greet customers, understand home improvement needs, and guide them to the right products. You will become the product expert, explaining specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

You will work in departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, and more. The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and meeting sales goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe's retail if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals or metrics.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Min. lift 25 lbs unassisted or >25 lbs with assistance.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state (Lowe's will support and fund).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and explaining product advantages.
• Serve as point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, handling estimates, scheduling visits, processing orders/installations and follow up for completion.
• In Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales/services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales, collaborate with vendors/stores to find merchandise and replace stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and requests for assistance.
• Train associates in the department through on-the-floor coaching.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
