Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver skilled PT services in patients' homes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence while promoting safety.

Required qualifications include CAPTE-accredited PTA training, active PTA license in the state, CPR certification, and 1+ year of PTA experience in home health.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant educational program as set by CAPTE.
• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant, specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ years of related PTA experience for home health care to ensure capable service.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT and per plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient response to treatment to supervising PT and clinical staff.
• Documents supervisory activities in the patient’s medical record.
• Monitors patient response to PT interventions and progress.
• Participates in care conferences, chart audits, and quality improvement activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and coordinates follow-up care.
