Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver skilled in-home care under a licensed PT. You will implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and coordinate with caregivers and the health team to improve mobility and independence in patients' homes.

The role requires PTA licensure, CAPTE-accredited education, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. Prior home health experience is preferred and competitive compensation with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant (state-specific)
• Graduate from an accredited PTA program per CAPTE
• One year related PTA experience for home health care is preferred for capable performance
• If less than one year, need regional clinical leadership approval and mentoring/residency participation
• Current CPR certification
• Driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services and interventions under supervision per plan of care
• Observes and reports patient response to treatment and changes in condition
• Provides resources for future needs and promotes wellness
• Documents supervisory activities in medical record
• Monitors patient response to therapy
• Participates in care conferences and quality improvement activities
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information
• Makes follow-up care recommendations and coordinates with other providers
• Performs other duties as assigned
