Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide skilled home health care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will help improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence while promoting safety in patients' homes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant educational program as set by CAPTE.
• Current license to practice as a PTA, specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ years of related PTA experience for home health care.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders and mentoring/residency participation.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services and interventions under the direction of a physical therapist.
• Observes, records and reports patient response to treatment to supervising staff.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties and participates in quality improvement activities.
