Job summary

Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Maryland is seeking a friendly Customer Service Representative to support customers in person and by phone, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently from purchase to delivery.

You will work with sales and office teams to keep customer orders moving smoothly, handle payments, schedule deliveries, and assist with showroom operations while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and listening abilities.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Strong cash-handling and basic math skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Team player with sound judgment and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer orders accurately into the company system.
• Process customer payments and apply to accounts.
• Handle cash and other forms of payment per policy.
• Prepare daily deposits following procedures.
• Answer calls and respond to questions professionally.
• Schedule deliveries accurately and conveniently.
• Maintain open orders and communicate updates to customers.
• Assist showroom operations and bear displays and tagging.
• Support Office Manager with additional tasks as needed.
