Job summary

West Elm, a brand of Williams-Sonoma, Inc., in New York, seeks a Design Studio Specialist to inspire customers and close sales through one-on-one consultations in-store and in-home design discussions.

You will translate client style into polished design plans, guide customers from concept to checkout, and demonstrate product knowledge across the design studio assortment while delivering world-class service.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of customer service and retail sales experience.
• Strong communication, clienteling and follow-up skills.
• Experience in design or home furnishings is preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in one-on-one consultations in-store and in-home to drive store sales.
• Perform in-home consultations including measuring and assessing client spaces.
• Create and present design plans based on client needs and space.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions to achieve sales goals.
• Provide world-class service for gift wrap, registry, orders, and deliveries.
• Demonstrate product knowledge of the design studio assortment.
