Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Design Studio Specialist for West Elm in Santa Monica, CA. You will inspire customers to express their style, close sales at the cash wrap, and promote ongoing engagement with the West Elm brand.

The role emphasizes design expertise, clienteling, and delivering World-class service with knowledge of current promotions. Flexibility for full-time hours and a strong customer-service orientation are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and clienteling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and complex orders.
• Experience with design concepts preferred.
• Retail sales experience in specialty stores beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in one-on-one consultations in-store and in-home to drive sales.
• Measure and assess living spaces during in-home consultations.
• Create and present design plans based on client needs and space.
• Maintain knowledge of promotions to achieve sales goals.
• Assist with services including gift wrap, registry, catalog/internet orders, special orders, and furniture orders.
• Demonstrate product knowledge across the design studio assortment.
