Job summary

West Elm, part of Williams-Sonoma, Inc., is seeking a Design Studio Specialist to inspire customers and close sales at the cash wrap. You will drive store sales through personalized consultations and design planning, ensuring a seamless customer experience.

You will leverage product knowledge and world-class service standards to assist with gifts, registries, orders, and special services, while meeting sales and productivity goals.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, clienteling and customer follow-up skills.
• Experience in design is preferred but not required.
• 1-2 years of customer service and retail sales experience, especially in specialty retail.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients one-on-one in-store and in-home to design living spaces and drive store sales.
• Conduct in-home consultations including measuring and assessing spaces.
• Create and present design plans based on client needs and space.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions to achieve sales targets.
• Assist customers with services such as gift wrap, registry, orders, and special requests.
• Demonstrate product knowledge of the design studio assortment.
