Job summary

D.R. Horton, America’s Builder, is seeking a capable site manager to oversee multiple home construction projects from permit through closing.

You will schedule subcontractors, monitor quality, enforce safety standards, and coordinate inspections while maintaining budget and schedule integrity. You will work closely with sales, warranty, and management teams to ensure a superior customer experience and timely completion of homes across designated communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years related construction experience.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive between communities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction docs, drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of municipal permitting and building codes.
• Strong communication and customer service focus.
• Ability to manage costs and budgets.
• Proficiency with MS Office and DRH Construction apps.
• Physically able to perform site duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule to deliver high-quality homes on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors for each phase and monitor workmanship for code compliance.
• Complete homes from planning to occupancy, ensuring all contract obligations are met.
• Inspect subcontractor work, halt nonconforming work, and authorize payments.
• Oversee the customer experience throughout construction, with regular progress updates.
• Maintain site cleanliness and visual appeal during construction.
• Manage post-close warranty process, including scheduling repairs and QA.
• Address homeowner concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable building codes and DRH systems.
• Collaborate with sales, warranty, and management for proactive issue resolution.
• Uphold professional and ethical standards and be available for extra hours when needed.
