Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Home Consultant to connect customers with the path to home ownership. You will help guide buyers, demonstrate homes, and set appointments while following branding standards.

The role offers a $50k base salary plus an attractive commission plan. You’ll be part of a team that values integrity, training, and ongoing development, with benefits and a path to career growth.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relationship-driven business-to-consumer sales preferred.
• General understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain appropriate manufactured home sales licensing.
• Learn and comply with legal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes.
• Strong verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work Saturdays and move/lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Protect Clayton branding and assets by maintaining integrity throughout the sales process.
• Develop expertise in mortgage concepts, product knowledge, and local market.
• Maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up with prospective buyers.
• Assist in inventory selection, model decoration, and model appearance.
• Develop, refine and execute a strategic sales/marketing plan to increase traffic.
• Present display homes and demonstrate features to create added value.
• Set home center visits by converting ads/web leads to appointments.
• Participate in sales meetings and company-sponsored training.
• Work cooperatively in a team environment and assist with duties as required.
