Job summary

The Salvation Army Yakima Corps is seeking a seasonal Kettle Coordinator to manage all aspects of the Christmas Kettle Program. You will supervise kettle workers and drivers, handle scheduling, and maintain HR/payroll records for the sites this season.

Responsibilities include coordinating site permissions, equipment readiness, worker recruitment, and daily data collection for payroll. The role requires attention to detail, strong English communications, and a valid WA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• Minimum six months related supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Contact store managers to establish kettle sites and obtain necessary documentation.
• Maintain kettle equipment and ensure stands, bells, aprons are clean and ready.
• Assist with advertising for bell ringers and begin distributing applications after Nov 1.
• Interview and hire applicants; ensure complete forms and background checks.
• Coordinate worker assignments, schedules, and driver routes daily.
• Collect and reconcile time sheets and support payroll data entry.
• Inventory equipment at end of season and prepare a season-ending brief.
• Coordinate volunteers for kettles and special events.
