Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Christmas Kettle Program Assistant in Spokane, WA to support kettle operations, data entry, and daily records. You will help hire and set up kettle workers, manage time cards, and ensure timely deposits while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong written and spoken communication, and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced team environment. A valid WA driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in oral and written communication.
• Strong customer and community relation skills.
• Must possess valid Washington State driver’s license and pass TSA background check.
• Ability to work well with all types of people.
• Strong organizational skills, creativity, self-motivation and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare kettle worker hiring paperwork for prospective workers.
• Set up kettle worker profiles and enter daily time card data into the Kettle Program database to meet deadlines.
• Handle daily deposit slip data entry and filing.
• Answer phones and operate the Kettle Operations Office as needed.
• Assist with written and oral communication with clients, the public and donors.
• Contact individuals and companies to support the kettle campaign.
• Assist the Kettle Coordinator and staff with other duties as assigned (filing, copying, scanning).
• Proficient in typing, data entry, organizing and filing.
• Learn Excel, Lotus Notes and related technical skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and work with minimal supervision.
• Work with diverse populations and maintain team-focused collaboration.
