The Salvation Army in the Northwest region seeks a Temporary Kettle Program Coordinator to manage all kettle sites, staff, and drivers for the Christmas kettle program. You will maintain records for HR, payroll, and accounting to monitor workers and sites.

Responsibilities include site permissions, equipment checks, advertising, hiring paperwork, daily data entry, orientations, and driver scheduling, with in-person work at multiple local sites and a November start through December 24.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma required. Some post-secondary education preferred.
• A minimum of six months related experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Contact store managers to seek permission to establish a kettle site and obtain required documents.
• Check equipment and maintain kettle gear; ensure kettles, stands, bells, and aprons are clean.
• Assist with placing help-wanted advertisements for bell ringers in newspapers, etc.
• Distribute applications and begin giving out applications after November 1st with hiring paperwork.
• Interview and hire applicants; ensure all forms are completed before start; conduct background checks.
• Maintain daily data on bell ringers; duplicate documents and submit to DHQ as requested.
• Deliver stands and signs to kettle sites the day before kettles begin.
• Conduct orientation with kettle workers and review responsibilities and paperwork.
• Assign workers to sites each day and coordinate driver schedules and routes.
• Collect time sheets daily and verify payroll data with Administrative Coordinator.
• Perform spot checks on workers to maintain image and troubleshoot issues.
• Inventory equipment at season end; prepare a season-ending brief.
• Perform other seasonal duties as assigned.
