Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Kettle Assistant to support bell ringing and logistical tasks for the annual Christmas campaign. This role reports to the Corps Officer(s) and helps coordinate kettle sites, routes, and basic data entry to ensure smooth operations.

The position requires a High School diploma, strong communication, and the ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. You must pass background checks and have a valid driver’s license; travel is local and commitment runs

Qualifications

• Must be of good moral character and able to interact in a friendly and compassionate manner.
• Candidates must have a passion for fulfilling the mission of The Salvation Army and must be articulate in presenting the same to others.
• Candidates must successfully pass the pre-employment background inquiry and annual motor vehicle check with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate kettle sites and daily routes in Register to Ring to support efficient operations.
• Assist with the transportation of kettles and bell ringers to assigned locations.
• Field inquiries pertaining to kettle operations from bell ringers, sites, drivers and others.
• Address kettle issues in association with corps officers.
• Sort kettle funds and deliver deposits to the bank as needed.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and professional communication practices.
• Maintain compliance in The Salvation Army's Safe from Harm certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
