Job summary

Macy's is seeking an Ambassador to drive sales by connecting with customers and sharing vendor product knowledge. You will upsell, build repeat clientele, and act as the expert for designated brands while coordinating with personal stylists and store leadership.

Full-time colleagues are scheduled for 30+ hours per week; benefits include health coverage, 401(k) match, paid time off, and holidays. You’ll also participate in vendor events and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year previous selling or retail experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proficient with computers, mobile devices, and RF equipment.
• Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the customer is always the priority.
• Greet customers, make product recommendations, and upsell.
• Serve as a liaison between vendors, personal stylists, and store leadership.
• Ensure sales floor is neat, signed for sales and markdowns.
• Create and implement best practices to drive sales, turn, and gross margin.
• Build brand-specific clientele to support local marketing.
• Execute vendor and non-vendor events to increase sales.
• Plan and lead customer-facing vendor sponsored events with vendor community.
