Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of highway maintenance tasks and related duties under close supervision. The role trains in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance and supports DOTs, railroads, and commercial projects nationwide.

The position requires occasional night work, a valid license with a clean 3-year driving record, and the ability to work in adverse weather, lift heavy objects, and operate hand and power tools in outdoor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Some night work required.
• Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
