Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to conduct a variety of highway maintenance services and related tasks under supervision. The role includes training in highway/roadway routine maintenance and work across various sites in the United States.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• SOME NIGHT WORK REQUIRED.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
