Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to perform highway maintenance tasks and related duties under supervision. You will train in routine maintenance and support State DOTs, railroads, and commercial customers nationwide.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license with 3 years of clean driving, physical stamina to work in adverse weather, and the ability to lift moderately heavy objects and operate hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license with 3+ years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions and lift moderately heavy objects.
• Capable of bending, climbing, standing, stooping or walking for long periods with good eye-hand coordination.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mow and clear brush from roadsides.
• Patch broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter and debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools and power tools as required.
