Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of roadway upkeep tasks under close supervision, training in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance for state DOTs and other clients nationwide. Major duties include clearing culverts, mowing, patching pavement, assisting in storm cleanup, fence and sign repair, litter removal and operating equipment.

Candidates must be 18+, hold a valid license with clean driving, and be able to work night

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Night work required; ability to work shifts.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects and work in adverse weather.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter and debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels and rakes.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, blowers.
