Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of road maintenance duties under supervision. The role includes highway/roadway routine maintenance training, culvert clearing, mowing, patching, storm response, fence and sign repair, litter removal, and equipment operation.

Qualifications include being at least 18 years old, willingness to work night shifts, a valid driver’s license with a clean record (3+ years), and the ability to work in

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Night work required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (3+ years).
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects and work in adverse weather.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
