Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) seeks a Highway Maintenance Technician to perform a range of upkeep tasks on roadways and associated infrastructure. Training will cover Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance in challenging outdoor environments.

The role emphasizes safe, efficient operations, physical readiness, and the ability to work under variable weather with a focus on reliable, high-quality service to clients including state DOTs and commercial customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations with workload or season changes.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
