Job summary

Irby Construction Company, a subsidiary of Quanta Services, seeks a Substation Project Manager to lead electrical substation projects from planning through turnover. You will oversee budgets, schedules, safety, and client coordination while guiding teams across civil, electrical, and commissioning activities.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in substations, strong cost control, and proficiency with project software.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive construction project management in substations.
• Experience delivering greenfield or brownfield utility substation projects.
• Ability to read electrical and civil drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation projects from preconstruction to turnover and closeout.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and change orders; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Ensure safety, quality, and client satisfaction across projects.
• Plan outages, coordination with utility and field personnel.
• Mentor engineers and project staff; drive continuous improvement.
