Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group seeks an experienced Engineering Project Manager – Substation to lead technical, scope, and schedule delivery for critical substation projects. You will oversee design, procurement, construction coordination, commissioning and closeout, reporting to the Engineering Director.

The role requires a decade of HV experience, ABET-credentialed engineering education, and strong leadership in multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on safety, quality, and value

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electric utility engineering or management for high voltage projects.
• P.E. license is preferred.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of structural, civil, or electrical engineering principles.
• Excellent understanding of utility industry processes: scheduling, contracts, coordination.
• Ability to interpret codes and standards and manage risk across projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight through the full project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction and client teams to ensure alignment with schedules and budgets.
• Define engineering scope, deliverables, assumptions, and technical requirements.
• Manage performance of engineering partners and review KPIs with senior leadership.
• Facilitate design reviews, constructability reviews, and risk mitigation planning.
• Ensure adherence to internal standards and project procedures across substations.
• Develop training strategies to raise technical proficiency of the team.
• Support business development through client meetings and proposal planning.
