Job summary

Irby Construction Company seeks a Project Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate high-voltage transmission and distribution projects, overseeing multiple crews, ensuring safety, quality, and cost-effective delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role driving complex field execution.

You will lead pre-construction planning, scheduling, budgets, submittals, and stakeholder communications, requiring 3+ years powerline experience, OSHA knowledge, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• PMP Certification is a plus.
• Strong project management software skills (Excel, P6, MS Project, EcoSys).
• Strong organizational, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-construction meetings with estimators and stakeholders.
• Review bid packages for accuracy, completeness, and scope.
• Provide technical assistance, interpret drawings, and recommend methods and equipment.
• Develop construction schedules and organize crews.
• Assign foremen to tasks and coordinate personnel and equipment.
• Prepare and submit project documentation, submittals, and RFIs.
• Oversee budgets, cost forecasts, and change orders.
• Monitor safety, quality, and adherence to contracts.
• Lead meetings with owners, suppliers, and subcontractors.
