Job summary

WSP is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization Experienced P&C Field Services Technician in Colorado. You will perform protection and control testing on high voltage substations and support field teams with hands-on relay testing and data documentation.

The role requires substantial HV experience, knowledge of IEEE/NETA/NFPA standards, and the ability to travel up to 80%. WSP offers a comprehensive benefits package and career growth in power delivery and project management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of electrical testing experience, including HV testing.
• Experience with protection and control testing in substations (15 kV–500 kV).
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schemes.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of Protection and Control on substations.
• On-site relay testing with Omicron/CMC or Doble equipment.
• Document field activities using forms and mobile apps.
• Support project leadership and mentor junior technicians.
• Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on sites.
