Job summary

WSP is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization Experienced P&C Field Services Technician to support projects across multiple western states, including Nevada. You will perform protection and control testing on HV substations, run relay tests with Omicron and Doble equipment, and document results using digital tools.

The role requires 7+ years in electrical testing, strong knowledge of relays (SEL, GE, Basler), and the ability to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 7+ years in electrical testing including HV circuits and protective relays.
• Experience with relays: SEL, Basler, Beckwith, GE families and protective schemes.
• Calibrate relays using test sets (Omicron CMC 256/356, Doble F6150).
• Familiarity with NETA, IEEE, NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning for Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations.
• Conduct on-site relay testing with test sets and document results.
• Maintain logs, photos, and field documentation accurately.
• Support field leadership and mentor junior technicians.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on sites.
