Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Experienced P&C Field Services Technician to support projects across Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. You will perform testing and commissioning for protection and control systems on high voltage substations, using field relay test sets and digital tools to document site activities.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in electrical testing, knowledge of IEEE, NETA, NFPA standards, and experience with relays (SEL, GE, Basler) and

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in the electrical testing industry.
Experience with medium and high voltage circuit breakers, transformers, CTs, and substations testing.
Expertise with protective relays and testing tools (Omicron, Doble, etc.).

Responsibilities

Perform testing and commissioning for Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations.
Conduct on-site protective relay testing using test sets (Omicron CMC 256/356, Doble F6150).
Document site activities using logs, forms, and mobile apps.
Support project leadership and escalate complex issues as needed.
Participate in daily safety briefings and ensure health and safety compliance.
Review work of junior technicians and provide guidance as needed.
